Morning — Site Visit

We are organising a visit to The Chinese Medicine Hospital of Hong Kong (CMHHK) and to the Government Chinese Medicines Testing Institute (GCMTI). Explore how Hong Kong is advancing healthcare innovation through the development of an integrated ecosystem spanning clinical services, research, quality assurance, and policy support, using Chinese medicine as a case study for bridging Eastern and Western approaches to healthcare and clinical research.

Opened in December 2025, CMHHK is the first dedicated Chinese medicine hospital in the city, integrating healthcare, research, and education. Located in Tseung Kwan O and spanning approximately 42,900 square metres, CMHHK is committed to seamlessly integrating Chinese medicine into modern healthcare. CMHHK’s vision is to enhance community well-being by making Chinese medicine more accessible and fostering a deeper understanding of its practices through education, innovation, and collaboration. 

GCMTI dedicated to establishing internationally recognised reference standards for Chinese medicines and their testing methods. It empowers the local industry and testing sector through skills transfer, fostering Hong Kong's development into an international hub for Chinese medicines quality control and testing.

Local Transportation to HKUMed Campus

To travel to the main conference venue at the HKUMed Sassoon Road Campus, located in the Pokfulam area, please see the suggested options below. Additional information about site visit transportation will be communicated to registered participants.

🚇 By MTR + Taxi/Uber

  • Kennedy Town Station (Island Line)
    Approximately a 5–10 minute taxi/Uber ride to 3 Sassoon Road (“沙宣道3號” in Chinese) or 21 Sassoon Road (“沙宣道21號”)

  • HKU Station (Island Line)
    Approximately a 10–15 minute taxi/Uber ride to 3 Sassoon Road (“沙宣道3號” in Chinese) or 21 Sassoon Road (“沙宣道21號”)

🚌 By Bus

Several public bus routes serve the area. Participants may look for stops at Queen Mary Hospital (QMH). From QMH, it is approximately a 5–10 minute walk downhill to 3 Sassoon Road or 21 Sassoon Road.

🚌 Shuttle Arrangements

To facilitate travel for delegates, shuttle bus services will be arranged from selected conference hotels to the main venues at Sassoon Road and site visit locations. Shuttle schedules and pick‑up locations will be shared closer to the event.
