The role of the Executive Committee
To initiate and implement policy relating to the U21 Health Sciences group.
To oversee funding and expenditure relating to the U21 HS group's Secretariat.
To monitor progress on projects and initiatives identified for action at U21 HS annual meetings.
In consultation with U21 HS Faculty, to develop a program for each of the group's annual meetings.
To consider and determine applications by member universities to host U21 HS annual meetings.
Composition
Chair of the U21 Health Sciences Group (The Dean of the Faculty (or equivalent) acting as previous host of the Annual Meeting (1 year) (followed by one year term as Past Chair) or The Dean of the Faculty (or equivalent) hosting the group’s Secretariat as agreed by the Executive.
Chair Elect/Deputy Chair of the U21 Health Sciences Group (The Dean of the Faculty (or equivalent) hosting the forthcoming Annual Meeting (1 year) (followed by one year term as Chair, and one year term as Past Chair)
Past Chair of the U21 Health Sciences Group (1 year)
The Dean of the Faculty (or equivalent) hosting the Annual Meeting in the following year (1 year then moves to Chair Elect/Deputy Chair)
The Dean of the Faculty (or equivalent) hosting the group's Secretariat (as long as host of Secretariat)
A representative from Dentistry (3 years)
A representative from Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (3 years)
