The Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group is a unique global university network of Health Sciences staff and students that includes members from 20 universities worldwide, and a collaborative group of Universitas 21.
We provide Health Sciences Faculty of member universities a framework for exploring opportunities for:
▶ collaborative research
▶ information exchange
▶ and sharing of resources.
Our group includes the discipline areas of: Dentistry, Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery, Pharmacy, Public Health and Biomedical Sciences.
As a collaborative network, we work together on numerous interdisciplinary projects and activities for both staff and students of relevance to the Health Sciences with a focus on global health issues.

2026 Student Speaker Funding - Apply Now!
The 2026 U21 HSG Annual Meeting will be hosted by the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong, from 23–26 November 2026. Now in its third year, the 2026 Student Speaker Funding is open to all health sciences students from U21 HSG Member Institutions. This funding provides an opportunity to present student-led projects, initiatives, or activities related to the 2026 Annual Meeting themed "Adaptive Intelligence: Reshaping Health Education and Practice in a Culturally Diverse World".
2026 Doctoral Student Forum - Apply Now!
Doctoral students from a range of disciplines across the U21 HSG member institutions are invited to present their work at The University of Hong Kong during the DSF. Successful applicants will be invited to make either a podium or a poster presentation. During the application process, applicants are not required to give an overview of their whole project but rather, a summary of their research. Applicants should apply using their email provided by the university.

2025 Annual Meeting: Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University!
The 2025 Annual Meeting was successfully held from 25 - 28 August in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Thank you to the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University. The theme was: “Aging Across the Lifespan”. Photos are available.
The 2025 IPE International Student Challenge concluded in July!
The IPE International Student Challenge ended in July, winners were announced. You can watch students’ videos here.
2025 U21 HSG Funding Opportunities closed!
Application deadline was in June 2025. Results should be available in Sept 2025.

2025 Summer School was successfully held!
Thanks to colleagues at the Faculty of Medicine at UC Chile who organised a fantastic 2-week summer school on the theme, “Advancing Mental Health and Wellbeing in Aging Populations”
