U21 HSG SDG Awareness Week 2022
The 2022 international student-led SDG Awareness Week took place on 21st - 25th March. The team from Scotland, Australia, England, South Africa, Sweden, America and Ireland organised a series of events to raise awareness of the SDGs across their universities.

Anais Rivalier, the strategic communications officer for Client Earth, will be joining Global Goals Glasgow to discuss her role within the organization Client Earth, and the important milestones this organization has achieved. Client Earth spans multiple borders, and utilizes law to enforce governmental movement regarding climate change. They lobby for informing, implementing, and enforcing law which helps to promote sustainability, and protects life on earth.

Topic: Awareness Week - ONE with Romilly Greenhill
Romilly Greenhill is joining Global Goals Glasgow to discuss her work as the UK Director of ONE. One is a movement campaign that is aiming to end extreme poverty and preventable disease by 2030, ensuring justice and equality within this fight. The organization works to lobby political leaders and governments to do more in the fight against poverty, and to empower all.

Building Multisectoral Capacity in sexual and gender based Violence- a project in Ethiopia, Uganda, and South Sudan.
Jack Palmieri is a PhD Student and project coordinator working at the Faculty of Medicine at Lund University in the research group for Social Medicine and Global Health. His background is in Public Health and Development, and he has worked in coordinating roles in several different projects around the world. During this session, Jack will discuss a project currently being run by the University in collaboration with the Global Academy for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. This project focuses on capacitating strategically placed individuals to bring about positive change in the area of sexual and gender-based violence and human rights in Uganda, Ethiopia and South Sudan. The framework for the programme builds on the multisectoral and multidisciplinary approach highlighted in the sustainable development agenda and has four guiding principles: rights-based approach, collaboration and partnership, adaptive strategies, and context-driven development. During this session, the theoretical underpinnings of the programme will be discussed, and lessons learned from past implementation will be presented. A warm welcome to you!

Environmental cleanliness
UCD has organised a National Spring Clean Up with supplies from the International Medicine team. Volunteers will choose an area to clean up and promote the importance of maintaining a clean environment with regards to its impact on our health.
SDG Awareness week is a student-led event that takes place every March and includes activities to raise awareness about the UN SDGs.
