Placements available
The academic year at University of Auckland goes from January to November each year.
Applications are processed in two rounds: Semester 1 which runs from January to June and Semester 2 which runs from June to November.
Placements cannot start before the second Monday in January, and there are no placements in December due to summer holiday absences and Christmas/New Year closures.

Quarter 3: 10 Jun to 25 Aug 2024
Quarter 4: 19 Aug to 3 Dec 2024
Duration
2 to 6 weeks duration for Elective Placements
Application deadline
Semester 1 applications open at the beginning of August in the year before the elective (July 31 – 13 August for 2024 applications)
Semester 2 applications open in mid-January of that year (15 – 28 January 2024 for 2024 applications)
