The Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group is a unique global university network of Health Sciences staff and students that includes members from 18 universities worldwide, and a collaborative group of Universitas 21.

We provide Health Sciences Faculty of member universities a framework for exploring opportunities for:

▶ collaborative research

▶ information exchange

▶ and sharing of resources.

Our group includes the discipline areas of Dentistry, Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Medicine, Nursing and Midwifery, Pharmacy and Public Health.

As a collaborative network, we work together on numerous interdisciplinary projects and activities for both staff and students of relevance to the Health Sciences with a focus on global health issues.


U21 HSG Annual Meeting 2019

The U21 Health Sciences Group Annual Meeting 2019 will be hosted by the University of Glasgow on the 9th – 13th September 2019.

The theme of this year’s meeting is ‘Safe and Sound: Improving Healthcare Education’ and will include a focus on the Scottish approaches to healthcare improvement, as well as the methodology and benefits of research in the undergraduate curriculum. Issues of safety and wellbeing for our students will also be addressed.

U21 HSG Doctoral Student Forum, University of Glasgow

The University of Glasgow, College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences is delighted to host the 2019 U21 Health Sciences Group Doctoral Student Forum, in conjunction with the U21 HSG Annual Meeting.

The forum will take place on Monday 9th September 2019 with themes of the international experience and transferability of doctoral training. The aims are to encourage discussion amongst students, to share experiences and to consider the diversity of career opportunities available following completion.

We have invited doctoral students from a range of disciplines across the U21 HSG member institutions to present their work in Glasgow at the forum.

Nursing Study Tour, Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile - Student applications open!

Applications are now open for students to participate in the Nursing Study Tour taking place both in October 2019 and July 2020 in Santiago, Chile.

This experience is open to all students of nursing from U21 HSG universities and there will be 12 places available per session.
