Inaugural U21 SDG Awareness Week
In April 2016, University College Dublin organized their first SDG Awareness Week. This inspired the U21 SDG Student Committee to organize the first U21 SDG Awareness Week that will take place on 13-17 March 2017. The concept of the event is to encourage U21 institutions to run events to raise awareness about the SDGs in their universities during the same week. Students will be invited to share their experience on social media using a common hashtag (#U21SDGweek) and to share some of the presentations given in their universities with students from other institutions. Please visit our website to see the list of participating universities to the #U21SDGWeek and their program of activities.

Paper published by U21 Social Media for Education in Health group
We are very pleased to report that the article 'Social Media in Health Science Education: An International Survey' was published by JMIR Medical Education in January 2017. The article presents some of the results of the U21 "Use of social media in health education" survey that was distributed among the health science staff and students from eight U21 universities in seven countries. The study demonstrates that a significant number of students across all health science disciplines self-reported sharing clinical images inappropriately, and thus request the need for policies and training specific to social media use in health science education. Congratulations to the U21 Social Media Group for this publication!
