New Design for U21 Health Sciences Group Website

The U21 HSG website has recently been redesigned and now has a more modern and lively look. Current activities and projects are easier to find and some new sections have been added such as testimonials and news. Feel free to browse and send any comments you may have to Caroline.

U21 Health Sciences Annual Meeting in Santiago

We remind U21 HSG members that registration for the U21 HSG annual meeting in Santiago is open. We encourage delegates to register as soon as possible and book their accommodation. A list of available hotels is available on the meeting website. We also remind members that we are currently accepting abstracts from doctoral students for the U21 HS Doctoral Student Forum that will take place on Monday 21st September. The forum will focus on issues health sciences doctoral students encounter to get published and ways to resolve these issues. Finally, we are still looking for a couple of speakers from U21 universities to talk about how professionalism is being taught in health science programs. If you have interest in presenting about this topic in Chile, please contact Caroline.

U21 Social Media for Education in Health publication and presentations

The U21 Social Media for Education in Health project is now in its second year of activity. A Social Media Workshop will take place in Santiago on Tuesday 22nd September to look at research outputs as well as examples of social media use in health practice. The project was presented in a number of conferences in Dublin, Vancouver and Singapore and additional presentations are scheduled to take place in the coming months in conferences in Italy, Hong Kong and Australia. An article related to this project was also published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal in May 2015. The list of presentations and publications can be found at www.u21health.org/social-media-project.
