U21 HS Teaching Excellence Award
At the U21 HS Deans of Medicine in September 2014 in Shanghai, there was a discussion about the need to better recognize and value educational scholarship in an academic university setting particularly amongst research-intensive universities. Deans came up with the idea of a U21 HS Teaching Excellence Award as to how the U21 HSG could make a unique contribution in this regard. A draft proposal for an award was recenlty approved by the Deans of Medicine and the U21 HS Executive Committee, and Caroline will be sending information to all U21 HS members during the month of April regarding the terms and conditions of the award, as well as the nomination and selection processes. The first winners of the U21 HS Teaching Excellence Award will be announced at the U21 HSG annual meeting in Santiago in September 2015.
